Intern at NIHA, in Baku, Azarbaijan
NIHA Ankara is offering a research internship for 4 to 6 months (start asap) in Baku, Azarbaijan, after a short introduction in Turkey (Ankara).
The intern will prepare a possible future role for NIHA in relation to collaboration in (higher) education between the Netherlands and Azarbaijan. The task will be to make an inventory and research the possibilities between the Netherlands and Azarbaijan relating to this topic. This involves among others: information about studying in the Netherlands or Turkey, selecting promising students for Dutch higher education, exchange programs for students and/or teachers, supporting researchers, finding internships and interns, stimulating the institutional collaboration between educational institutions, etc.
Based on several signals from educational institutions and the Dutch diplomatic representation in Baku, NIHA offers the research intern the chance to explore in Azarbaijan whether NIHA could play a role in strengthening the educational collaboration between the Netherlands and Azarbaijan and how this can be done in the best way.
The intern should be able to work independently and have strong communicative skills in both Dutch or English, and Turkish, Azeri. Knowledge of Russian can compensate for the knowledge of Turkish or Azeri. He/she should be flexible, have organizational skills. We prefer a candidate with interest for international educational collaboration. During the internship the student should follow a study at a Dutch educational institution which is acknowledged by the Dutch Ministery of Education, Culture and Science, preferably a relevant masterstudy or the last year of a HBO-study.
