More activities within (elderly-) care

Amongst others, by the efforts of NIHA, the education cooperation between Turkey and the Netherlands in healthcare, within vocational as well as higher education, is increasing. The cooperation includes LDV-exchange programmes in the areas of study ranging from radiology (radiologist assistants), through to nursing and physical therapy. It is expected that the exchange of students and interns will also increase. That applies not only to vocational schools, universities of applied sciences but also to research universities, whereby NIHA will soon be involved in the implementation of exchange of medical students. This is a plan of the new Honorary Consulate-General of Turkey in Leiden in cooperation with the health insurance companies Agis/ Achmea and aims A.O. to provide a more patient-friendly health service within the Dutch healthcare system.

Finally NIHA is developing a project with the objective to realise NL-TR education programmes (dual degree or when allowed joint degree) at different levels and with a wide range of subjects aimed at offering high quality (elderly-) care services in Turkey.
