2010 LdV Applications NIHA
Within the 2010 LDV project activities, NIHA Vocational Education Coordination Center has provided letters of intent to various institutions. In line with the project fields of the partnerships that have been formed with 17 institutions in Turkey and 5 institutions in the Netherlands, NIHA VET Coordination Center is planning to organise meetings and seminars with the objective to deliver support to these projects.
Throughout 2010, NIHA VET Coordination Center will also organise EU related project meetings whereby the vocational education systems of both the Netherlands and Turkey will be compared.
Within this framework, on March 1st, Kenwerk and NIHA Vocational Education Office visited the Institution of Vocational Qualifications, Ministry of Education Project Department, Ministry of Education General Directorate of Trade and Tourism with the purpose of evaluating the development of vocational education on tourism and cooperation possibilities between the two countries.
During this meeting, the Dutch and Turkish vocational education systems were examined and information exchanged between the Turkish General Directorate of Trade and Tourism, NIHA Vocational Education Coordination Center and Kenwerk. The meeting ended with the signing of a new project aiming to invite tourism teachers, students and coordinators from the Netherlands to Turkey. The funding for this project will be requested from the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
